Seoul: Hanmi Pharm Co. reported its second-quarter net income of 43 billion won (US$31.2 million), marking an 8.6 percent decrease compared to the same period last year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the company's operating profit for the April-June period reached 60.4 billion won, reflecting a 4 percent rise from the previous year. However, their revenue dropped by 4.5 percent, totaling 361.3 billion won.
Despite the decline in net income, Hanmi Pharm's earnings surpassed market expectations. Analysts had predicted a net profit of 39.8 billion won, based on a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
