HD Hyundai Mipo Wins 159 Billion-Won Container Ship Order in Asia

Seoul: HD Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co., a South Korean shipbuilder, announced it has secured a 159 billion-won (US$111 million) order to construct two container carriers for a client in Asia. The vessels are scheduled for delivery to the undisclosed Asian shipping company by May 2027, as stated in a regulatory filing by the company.

According to Yonhap News Agency, HD Hyundai Mipo is one of three affiliates under HD Korea Shipbuilding and Offshore Engineering Co. (HD KSOE). The other affiliates include HD Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. and HD Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Co. HD KSOE serves as a subholding company of HD Hyundai, which was formerly known as Hyundai Heavy Industries Holdings.
