Seoul: Hyundai Motor Group said Monday it has won nine awards at the 2025 International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA), one of the world's top three design recognition events organized by the Industrial Design Society of America.
According to Yonhap News Agency, in the automotive and transportation category, Kia Corp.'s PV5 WKNDR concept secured a silver award, while Hyundai Motor Co.'s Ioniq 9 electric sport utility vehicle (SUV) earned a bronze award.
The PV5 WKNDR concept stood out with its modular design, which allows for flexible interior and exterior configurations, as well as built-in energy solutions, including solar panels.
In the environments category, the CX Smart Farm facility at the Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore won a silver award.
Other recognitions included Hyundai Motor and Kia Robotics Lab's X-ble Shoulder wearable robot, which received a finalist award in the commercial and industrial category.
"The recognitions reflect Hyundai Motor Group's design philosophy and future vision," a group official said. "We will continue to deliver differentiated value with bold designs that break away from convention."
