Seoul: Hyundai Motor Co. announced the launch of a new entry-level "Essential" trim for its high-performance Ioniq 5 N electric vehicle (EV), aimed at making performance EVs more accessible to consumers by lowering the price barrier.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the Essential trim maintains the high-output motor and battery characteristic of the Ioniq 5 N, while adjusting specifications to enhance affordability. The new trim aims to deliver value without compromising on key safety features, which include forward collision-avoidance assist, blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, and intelligent speed limit assist.
A Hyundai official stated, "The Essential trim is designed to enhance value and make high-performance EVs more accessible to customers. We will continue to provide competitively packaged vehicles that allow more drivers to experience performance EVs."
