Seoul: Hyundai Rotem Co. on Thursday reported its fourth-quarter net income reached 145 billion won (US$100.3 million), marking a significant increase of 214 percent from a year earlier.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the company's operating profit for the October-December period was 161.7 billion won, reflecting an increase of 131.7 percent from the previous year. Additionally, sales rose by 45.7 percent, reaching 1.44 trillion won during the same period.
The company's earnings surpassed market expectations, with the average estimate of net profit by analysts at 140 billion won, as surveyed by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
