Hyundai Wia reports Q2 net profit of 45.7 bln won

Hyundai Wia on Friday reported its second-quarter net profit of 45.7 billion won (US$33 million), up 3201.7 percent from a year earlier.Operating income for the April-June period was 69.2 billion won, up 6.2 percent from a year ago, the company said in a regulatory filing. Revenue fell 2.3 percent to 2.23 trillion won.The earnings fell behind market expectations. The average estimate of net profit by analysts stood at 62.5 billion won, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.Source: Yonhap News Agency
