Seoul: Investigators were attempting to search the presidential office and residence on Wednesday as part of their probe into President Yoon Suk Yeol's failed martial law bid.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials stated that the raid aimed to seize server records of a secure phone used by Yoon, along with computers, other electronic equipment, and documents and minutes of meetings linked to his December 3 declaration of martial law.
The success of this raid heavily relies on the cooperation of the Presidential Security Service (PSS). Previous attempts have largely been unsuccessful, including raids on a presidential safe house and the PSS office earlier this week. This ongoing investigation highlights the complexities and challenges faced by investigators in accessing critical information and evidence related to the controversial declaration.
