Jimin’s ‘Who’ Tops Spotify’s K-pop Charts in Second Half of 2024

Seoul: BTS member Jimin's "Who" emerged as the most-streamed K-pop song on Spotify for the second half of 2024, according to the global music streaming platform's recent announcement. BLACKPINK member Rose's "APT." secured the second spot, marking a significant achievement for both artists.

According to Yonhap News Agency, these tracks led Spotify's Global Impact List from July to December, highlighting the global appeal of K-pop music. BLACKPINK's Jennie followed closely with her song "Mantra" in third place, while Stray Kids' "Chk Chk Boom" and another of Jimin's tracks, "Be Mine," completed the top five.

BTS demonstrated a strong international presence, with its members contributing ten songs to the list. Jimin's hits were accompanied by tracks from Jin, including "Running Wild," "I'll Be There," and "Super Tuna," as well as V's "Winter Ahead" and "White Christmas."

Rose also featured prominently with two additional songs, "number one girl" and "toxic till the end," while Stray Kids had four entries, including "I Like It," "Come Play," and "Jjam." Other notable mentions included aespa, Kiss of Life, and Enhypen, each with two songs on the list.

The list also underscored the rising popularity of new artists. Babymonster, who debuted last year, had two songs, "Forever" and "Drip," on the list, while newcomer Meovv's "Meow" also gained recognition.
