Seoul: KEPCO Engineering and Construction (E and C) Co. reported a significant increase in its first-quarter net profit, reaching 65.9 billion won (US$47.1 million), marking a 662.1 percent rise from the previous year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, despite the substantial rise in net profit, KEPCO E and C experienced a notable decline in its operating profit for the January-March period. The operating profit fell by 87 percent year-on-year, totaling 1.2 billion won. Additionally, the company's sales saw a decrease of 24.4 percent, amounting to 96.4 billion won.
