Seoul: KG Mobility Corp. reported a significant drop in its March sales, marking an 11.4 percent decrease from the previous year, primarily attributed to weakened demand in the domestic market. The automaker disclosed that it sold 9,483 vehicles last month, a decline from the 10,702 units sold in the same period last year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, while international sales experienced a modest increase of 4.6 percent, reaching 6,275 units, the domestic market saw a substantial slump of 31.8 percent, with only 3,208 units sold. This downturn in domestic sales has contributed to an overall 11.3 percent decline in sales for the first quarter, totaling 26,009 units.
A KG Mobility official expressed optimism for future sales growth, highlighting the anticipated impact of new model deliveries. The company is set to introduce new models, including an electric version of the Musso and the Torres Hybrid, which are expected to commence deliveries soon.
