Andhra Pradesh: Kia Corp. announced on Friday that it has commenced mass production of the Syros, a new global strategic compact sport utility vehicle (SUV), in India. The South Korean automaker marked this significant milestone with a ceremony at its production plant in Andhra Pradesh, attended by Kia CEO Song Ho-sung, other company executives, and over 200 local employees.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the Syros was first unveiled globally in India last December. The vehicle is designed as an urban SUV, equipped with advanced features that include a smart connectivity system and a spacious interior surpassing its class standards. Noteworthy features are the sliding and reclining rear seats with ventilation functions, advanced driver assistance systems, and dual panoramic sunroofs.

Kia is set to announce the pricing for the Syros and commence sales in India next month. Additionally, the company plans to broaden its sales reach to other regions, including Asia-Pacific, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East. "The Syros reflects extensive customer feedback, incorporating advanced features and a comfortable interior space," stated CEO Song Ho-sung. "We aim to deliver unique value to Indian customers and further strengthen our presence in the Indian market."
