Seoul: The Korea International Trade Association (KITA) announced that it hosted a forum focusing on Ukraine's reconstruction, involving business representatives from Ukraine to bolster postwar collaboration efforts.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the event took place on Tuesday in Seoul, coinciding with a visit from a delegation of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCI). The forum saw participation from representatives of over 100 South Korean companies interested in engaging in Ukraine's reconstruction initiatives.
During the event, KITA and UCCI entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) aimed at enhancing corporate support and cooperation for future reconstruction endeavors.
KITA Chairman Yoon Jin-sik emphasized the enduring friendship between South Korea and Ukraine since the establishment of diplomatic relations as a robust foundation for reconstruction collaborations. He noted that Ukraine's aspiration for economic revival, combined with Korea's experience in postwar development, holds the potential for significant achievements.
UCCI Vice President Valeriy Korol pointed out that South Korea's history of overcoming challenges and achieving economic progress serves as a valuable example for Ukraine as it seeks to rebuild and grow.
