Kolmar Korea Reports 7.4% Decline in Q2 Net Income

Seoul: Kolmar Korea Co., a leading cosmetics and pharmaceuticals manufacturer, announced a second-quarter net income of 41.8 billion won (US$30.3 million), reflecting a 7.4 percent decrease compared to the previous year.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the company disclosed in a regulatory filing that its operating profit for the April-June period increased by 2.4 percent from the previous year, reaching 73.5 billion won. Meanwhile, sales showed a significant increase of 10.7 percent, totaling 730.8 billion won.

The reported earnings were in line with market expectations, as analysts had predicted a net profit estimate of 41.9 billion won, based on a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data branch of Yonhap News Agency.
