Seoul: Korea Zinc reported a significant increase in its second-quarter net income, reaching 329.7 billion won (US$237.2 million), marking an 87.9 percent rise compared to the same period last year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the company disclosed in a regulatory filing that its operating profit for the quarter amounted to 258.9 billion won, a slight decrease from 268.7 billion won recorded a year ago. Despite the drop in operating profit, the company's revenue increased by 25.1 percent, totaling 3.82 trillion won for the quarter.
