Seoul: The Korea Interbank Offered Rates (KORIBOR) have been published by Yonhap Infomax, the financial news and information arm of Yonhap News Agency, reflecting stability across most terms with a minor change in the 12-month rate. The rates, released at 11:00 a.m., show that short-term rates have remained consistent with the previous session.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the 1-week KORIBOR rate stayed steady at 2.50%, and the 1-month, 2-month, and 3-month rates also held firm at 2.51%. The 6-month rate remained unchanged as well at 2.52%. However, the 12-month rate experienced a slight increase, moving from 2.52% in the previous session to 2.53% today.
This stability in the short-term rates indicates a consistent borrowing environment for financial institutions in South Korea, which could suggest a period of economic steadiness. The slight upward adjustment in the 12-month rate may reflect market expectations for future interest rate trends or inflation adjustments.
