KORIBOR Rates Remain Stable Across Most Terms

Seoul: The Korea Interbank Offered Rates (KORIBOR) have shown consistency, maintaining stability across different term periods as reported at 11:00 a.m. by Yonhap Infomax, the financial news and information arm of Yonhap News Agency. The rates for the 1-week, 1-month, and 2-month terms remain unchanged at 3.00 percent compared to the previous session.

According to Yonhap News Agency, slight fluctuations were observed in the longer-term rates. The 3-month KORIBOR held steady at 2.99 percent, while the 6-month rate saw a minor decrease from 2.97 percent to 2.96 percent. The 12-month rate experienced a marginal increase, moving from 2.85 percent to 2.86 percent.

The stability in the short-term rates suggests a consistent borrowing environment for financial institutions, while the slight changes in the longer terms indicate minor adjustments in the market's outlook. These rates are crucial benchmarks for financial products and influence the cost of borrowing for banks in South Korea.
