KORIBOR Rates Show Stability Across Most Terms

SEOUL: The Korea Interbank Offered Rates (KORIBOR) displayed stability across most terms today, with minimal changes observed in the rates for key durations. The rates, posted by Yonhap Infomax at 11:00 a.m., indicate consistent borrowing costs for financial institutions in South Korea.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the rates for the 1-week, 1-month, and 2-month terms remained unchanged at 3.00%, 3.12%, and 3.24%, respectively, compared to the previous session. The 3-month rate experienced a slight decrease, moving from 3.36% to 3.35%. Similarly, the 6-month rate saw a marginal decline from 3.33% to 3.32%. The 12-month rate also dipped slightly from 3.05% to 3.04%.

The stability in KORIBOR rates reflects a steady financial environment in South Korea, providing a predictable landscape for banks and financial institutions engaged in interbank lending. The minor fluctuations in the longer-term rates suggest a cautious outlook as the market continues to respond to broader economic indicators.
