KOSPI 200 Experiences Broad Decline with Key Stocks Dropping Significantly

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index saw a broad decline as several major companies reported a decrease in their stock prices. Notable losses included LIG Nex1, which fell by 25,500, closing at 490,500, and COSMAX, which saw a significant drop of 18,000, closing at 246,500.

According to Yonhap News Agency, other major companies also experienced declines. HYUNDAI ROTEM closed at 180,600, down by 15,500, while KIWOOM's stocks decreased by 12,500, closing at 210,500. HanmiPharm and SK Innovation also faced sharp declines, with HanmiPharm dropping 9,500 to close at 284,000 and SK Innovation decreasing by 4,100 to end at 115,200.

The market did see some gains, however. LGCHEM showed an increase, rising by 7,500 to close at 264,500, and Celltrion's stocks increased by 5,700, ending at 178,000. KDHC also reported an upward movement, climbing by 1,800 to close at 82,900.

In addition to the large losses and modest gains, several other companies experienced smaller declines. HD Hyundai Infracore dropped by 440 to finish at 11,600, and L and F fell by 1,500, closing at 53,400. Youngone Corp and CSWIND also recorded decreases, with Youngone Corp down by 2,100 to 59,400, and CSWIND dropping by 1,250 to 48,100.

Overall, the KOSPI 200's performance was marked by a predominant downward trend, with a few exceptions showing positive gains amidst the widespread declines.
