KOSPI 200 Market Movements See Mixed Trading Day

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a mixed trading day with both gains and losses across different sectors. Among the notable performers, Meritz Financial saw an increase of 3,200, closing at 122,800. emart and DENTIUM also made gains, with closing prices of 81,800 and 72,400, up by 1,500 and 3,100 respectively. Meanwhile, KOLMAR KOREA and Doosan Bobcat reported positive movements, closing at 64,300 and 50,000, showing gains of 500 and 700 respectively.

According to Yonhap News Agency, several companies faced declines, including BNK Financial Group, which fell by 100 to end at 10,250. DGB Financial Group and HANKOOK TIRE and TECHNOLOGY also saw decreases, closing at 8,970 and 41,800, down by 40 and 250 respectively. Samsung Biologics experienced a significant decline of 13,000, ending at 1,059,000, while HD Hyundai Electric dropped by 29,000 to 304,000.

Other notable declines included HL MANDO and HYOSUNG TNC, which fell by 3,150 and 4,500, closing at 39,700 and 235,500 respectively. SK ie technology and ISUSPECIALTYCHEMICAL saw decreases of 500 and 1,650, closing at 24,350 and 47,450 respectively. On the other hand, gains were seen by Orion, BGF Retail, and HYBE, which closed at 119,100, 110,600, and 245,000, with increases of 2,800, 1,600, and 3,000 respectively.

Overall, the KOSPI 200 showcased a variety of performances with companies like APR, Hanwha Vision, and DL E and C posting gains, closing at 71,300, 58,300, and 42,400, with increases of 1,500, 1,600, and 450 respectively. However, entities such as SKSQUARE, Hanwha Systems, and OCI reported declines, concluding the day at 97,900, 32,850, and 57,000, down by 1,800, 1,400, and 800 respectively.
