Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a day of mixed results, with several companies marking gains while others saw declines in their stock prices. Among the significant movers were energy and technology companies, which showed notable activity during the trading session.
According to Yonhap News Agency, HD Hyundai Electric saw a substantial increase in its stock price, closing at 401,500, up by 12,500. LG Energy Solution also experienced a notable rise, closing at 358,000 with an increase of 10,500. In the chemical sector, YoulchonChem reported a gain, closing at 29,800, up by 3,650. Meanwhile, SK Innovation's stock rose by 1,700, ending at 127,200, indicating positive movements in the energy sector.
On the other hand, several companies experienced declines. HD Hyundai's stock decreased by 700, closing at 83,100, while ORION saw a similar decrease, ending at 99,300. APR's stock fell by 1,000, closing at 51,300, and DOOSAN witnessed a significant drop, closing at 274,000, down by 10,000. Other companies such as HYOSUNG TNC and AMOREPACIFIC also recorded declines, with their stocks closing at 227,500 and 115,300 respectively.
Among those with no change in stock prices were Doosan Enerbility, ILJIN HYSOLUS, and BGF Retail, maintaining their positions at 20,100, 16,540, and 102,800 respectively. The market's mixed performance reflects varied investor sentiment and sector-specific dynamics influencing stock prices.
