Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index reflected a mixed performance with stocks experiencing both gains and losses. Notable changes in the closing prices were recorded for several companies.
According to Yonhap News Agency, SD Biosensor closed at 9,330, down by 80, while Meritz Financial saw a significant decrease, closing at 118,200, down by 3,200. BNK Financial Group, however, managed a slight increase, closing at 10,370, up by 20. iM Financial Group remained unchanged at 10,390.
The retail sector saw emart rising to 93,500, an increase of 3,000, while KOLMAR KOREA climbed to 83,600, up by 4,000. Conversely, PIAM fell by 210 to 16,410, and HANJINKAL decreased by 1,200, closing at 84,500. CHONGKUNDANG also saw a decline, closing at 78,700, down by 600.
In the technology and gaming sectors, DoubleUGames rose to 57,100, up by 2,100, while SAMSUNG BIOLOGICS increased by 4,000, closing at 1,040,000. However, KRAFTON experienced a downturn, dropping to 375,000, a decrease of 4,000. HD HYUNDAI showed a slight increase, closing at 79,400, up by 100, but its electric division faced a significant drop of 8,500, closing at 334,500.
ORION saw an increase, closing at 126,900, up by 3,600. ILJIN HYSOLUS fell by 240, ending at 13,120. HANWHA SYSTEMS showed positive movement, closing at 46,850, up by 1,600. APR also climbed to 102,700, an increase of 4,300, while BGF Retail experienced a notable loss, down by 11,100, closing at 101,500.
The chemicals and materials sector reflected mixed outcomes with SKCHEM rising significantly by 5,950, closing at 48,850. HYOSUNG TNC decreased by 2,000 to 237,000, whereas HS HYOSUNG ADVANCED gained 3,100, closing at 191,300.
Financial companies, such as WooriFinancialGroup, saw a modest increase, closing at 17,690, up by 70. Meanwhile, KakaoBank fell by 400, ending at 22,700. HYBE witnessed a notable rise, closing at 270,000, up by 5,000. ECOPRO MAT fell to 52,000, down by 3,000.
In the robotics sector, Doosan Robotics decreased by 2,850 to 48,250. The chemical sector saw OCI drop by 400, closing at 57,300, while ISUSPECIALTYCHEMICAL ended at 41,600, down by 900.
Other notable changes included Hanwha Vision, which decreased by 300 to 62,700, and DENTIUM, which experienced a significant drop of 12,300, closing at 64,800. SK ie technology ended at 22,400, down by 700, while DL E and C saw a decline, closing at 43,050, down by 1,050. Meanwhile, kakaopay ended at 29,400, down by 300, and SKSQUARE rose by 700, closing at 93,700.
