Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a mix of upward and downward movements as trading concluded, reflecting varied performances across different sectors. Key players in the financial and technology sectors saw notable changes in their stock prices.
According to Yonhap News Agency, significant upward movements were observed in companies such as Meritz Financial, which rose by 700 points to close at 115,800, and BNK Financial Group, which climbed 60 points to 12,880. iM Financial Group also experienced a rise, closing at 13,130 with a gain of 130 points. Additionally, DENTIUM saw an increase of 1,200 points, reaching 63,800.
On the other hand, several companies faced declines. emart's stock decreased by 1,000 points to 94,100, and HANJINKAL dropped 1,100 points to 117,000. Doosan Bobcat and Netmarble also saw reductions, closing at 56,800 and 61,300, respectively.
In the technology sector, Samsung Biologics experienced an increase of 6,000 points, reaching 1,009,000, while HD Hyundai Electric faced a decline of 20,500 points, ending at 487,500. Other notable changes included Orion's rise of 6,800 points to 118,500 and Hanwha Systems' decrease of 2,500 points to 55,800.
Overall, the KOSPI 200 index showed fluctuating trends as different sectors experienced varying degrees of gains and losses.
