KOSPI 200 Market Update: Samsung SDI Leads with Significant Gains


Seoul: The KOSPI 200 closed with notable fluctuations in stock prices among its diverse companies. Prominent performers included Samsung SDI Co., Ltd., which saw a significant rise, while companies like APR experienced declines.



According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. surged by 14,500, closing at 236,000. Another strong performer was LG Chem, which increased by 18,000 to end at 312,000. Meanwhile, HD Hyundai Electric marked a notable gain, rising by 17,000 to 685,000. On the other hand, APR faced a decrease of 5,500, closing at 242,500.



Samsung Electronics also experienced an upswing, increasing by 2,700 to reach 97,700. In contrast, Korea Aerospace saw its value drop by 1,300, closing at 98,700. Kumho Tire and SLCorp both posted gains, with increases of 160 and 1,800, closing at 4,600 and 36,650, respectively.



Additional changes included Hyundai Rotem’s decline by 6,500 to 207,000 and Hanwha Systems, which decreased by 700, closing at 52,700. The financial sector showed positive movement with Shinhan Group rising by 1,600 to 72,700. Other notable performers included LG H and H, up by 1,500 to 283,500, and Daewoong Pharm, which increased by 1,900 to 136,800.



Overall, the KOSPI 200 showed a mix of upward and downward trends across various sectors, reflecting the dynamic nature of the stock market.
