Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced varied movements, with several key stocks showing notable changes in their closing prices. KIA Corp. saw an increase, closing at 94,300, up by 2,600. SKC also recorded a rise, ending at 162,100, up by 3,800. Similarly, Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. climbed to 214,000, marking an increase of 5,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, while some companies were on the rise, others faced declines. Hanwha Aerospace decreased to 516,000, down by 4,000. DB Insurance also saw a decline, closing at 98,300, down by 2,700. Samsung Electronics remained unchanged at 55,800.
Other significant movements included GS E and C, which rose to 18,650, up by 1,210, and KPIC, which increased to 108,400, up by 6,200. On the other hand, S-1 dropped to 59,400, down by 700, and Coway decreased to 78,900, down by 900.
The index also saw movements in lesser-traded stocks. Hyundai Elevator rose to 55,700, up by 2,000, while Samsung C and T increased to 121,600, up by 600. Meanwhile, DongSuh fell to 22,800, down by 500, and Hyundai Dept Store dropped to 51,500, down by 400.
Overall, the KOSPI 200 index displayed a mix of gains and losses, highlighting the dynamic nature of the stock market on this trading day.
