KOSPI 200 Sees Broad Gains with Notable Surge in OCI Holdings

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index saw an overall upward trend with several companies posting significant gains. Among the top performers, OCI Holdings recorded a substantial increase, closing at 68,700, up by 9,300.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung Biologics also experienced a notable rise, closing at 1,059,000, up by 36,000. Other companies contributing to the positive shift included Netmarble, which surged by 2,250 to close at 43,600, and APR, which rose by 3,100, ending at 71,500.

In the technology sector, SK hynix climbed 1,000 to close at 175,000, while SK ie technology experienced an increase of 500, finishing at 22,000. KakaoBank and kakaopay saw gains of 150 and 1,200, closing at 21,000 and 29,750, respectively.

The industrial and energy sectors also contributed to the upward momentum. HD Hyundai Electric ended at 325,000, up by 14,000, and Doosan Bobcat increased by 650 to close at 44,950. Additionally, Hanwha Systems rose by 150 to 38,500.

Despite the general upward trend, some companies experienced declines. Orion fell by 1,500 to 119,300, and BGF Retail decreased by 800 to 105,700. DL E and C saw a minor drop, closing at 40,250, down by 100.
