Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index saw a positive shift as several major companies reported increased closing prices. Among the top performers was HDKSOE, which closed at 356,500 won, reflecting an increase of 19,000 won. Similarly, HANWHA AEROSPACE witnessed substantial gains, rising by 23,000 won to reach a closing price of 961,000 won.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. also experienced a notable rise, closing at 213,500 won, up by 19,800 won. LS ELECTRIC reported a significant increase, closing at 329,000 won, which is up by 25,500 won. Additionally, POSCO FUTURE M saw an increase of 11,700 won, closing at 148,400 won, while Taekwang Industries rose by 11,000 won to 990,000 won.
Other companies such as Samsung Electronics Mechanics and ECOPRO MAT also recorded gains, closing at 155,700 won and 54,500 won, respectively. Meanwhile, LG Corp. and Hyundai Steel made modest gains, with closing prices of 77,500 won and 32,650 won, respectively.
Conversely, some companies experienced declines. Youngone Holdings dropped by 3,600 won to close at 132,200 won, and Nongshim saw a decrease of 3,000 won, ending at 382,000 won. Kia Corp. and Kumho Petrochem also reported lower closing figures at 101,400 won and 111,600 won, respectively.
