KOSPI 200 Sees Gains in Key Stocks with NAVER and LIG Nex1 Leading the Surge

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index concluded its latest session with notable movements among its constituents. Several stocks recorded gains, while others experienced a decline in their closing prices. Noteworthy performers included NAVER, which saw an increase of 5,700 to close at 196,700, and LIG Nex1, which rose by 10,500 to end at 258,500.

According to Yonhap News Agency, other stocks such as Kakao and COSMAX also reported positive outcomes, with Kakao climbing 3,100 to 42,200 and COSMAX advancing 6,100 to 170,500. A number of financial and technology-related companies experienced upward trends as well. KIWOOM gained 1,100, reaching a closing price of 128,000, while JB Financial Group rose by 810 to 18,220.

Meanwhile, some stocks faced declines. HD Hyundai Infracore dropped by 260 to 8,160, and LGCHEM decreased by 1,000, closing at 244,000. KEPCO KPS and KEPCO E and C also saw reductions in their prices, down by 800 to 41,000 and 600 to 56,900, respectively.

In the automotive and electronics sectors, HYUNDAI ROTEM saw a rise of 900 to reach 105,900, and LGELECTRONICS increased by 700, ending at 77,900. On the other hand, SK Innovation experienced a fall of 2,300 to a closing price of 110,100.

Overall, the session highlighted significant gains for companies like HYUNDAIGLOVIS, which surged by 5,200 to 117,600, and AMOREPACIFIC, which increased by 4,500 to close at 105,900. Despite some declines, the KOSPI 200 demonstrated resilience with a number of stocks achieving substantial growth.
