Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index exhibited a mixed performance, with noticeable gains in financial and technology sectors. SD Biosensor saw a slight decrease, closing at 10,960 down by 70. Among financial institutions, Meritz Financial rose by 200 to end at 114,300, while BNK Financial Group and iM Financial Group also saw increases, closing at 12,710 and 12,580 respectively.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the technology sector showed significant movement with HANKOOK TIRE and TECHNOLOGY rising by 850 to 402,50. Conversely, Doosan Bobcat and Netmarble faced declines, closing at 60,900 and 60,500 respectively. Meanwhile, HD HYUNDAI ELECTRIC surged by 15,000 to finish at 497,000, contrasting with the parent company HD HYUNDAI, which fell by 2,300 to 129,600.
In retail, emart and BGF Retail displayed opposing trends, with emart increasing by 400 to 87,000 while BGF Retail decreased by 1,900 to 119,600. DENTIUM and CHONGKUNDANG recorded moderate gains, closing at 64,900 and 83,800 respectively. On the other hand, KRAFTON experienced a drop of 4,500, ending at 357,000.
The chemical and manufacturing sectors also saw varied results. MIWON SC and ORION advanced, closing at 143,300 and 108,600 respectively, contrasting with SKCHEM and HYOSUNG TNC, which saw decreases. The construction sector reflected positive outcomes for DL E and C, which rose by 7,000 to 55,400.
Notably, APR led gains with an increase of 10,400, closing at 151,600. SKSQUARE also performed well, ending the session up by 11,200 at 192,200. However, other stocks such as HYBE and HDHMS faced declines, closing at 310,500 and 202,000 respectively.
