Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed mixed trends as several key stocks showed significant movements in their closing prices. Among the noteworthy performers, HYOSUNG HEAVY registered a sharp increase of 28,000, closing at 471,000, while OTOKI rose by 6,000 to reach 400,000. Meanwhile, HD HYUNDAI HEAVY INDUSTRIES experienced an upward shift of 6,000, ending the session at 353,500.
According to Yonhap News Agency, DOOSAN also recorded a notable climb, advancing by 4,500 to close at 288,000. POSCO Holdings saw an increase of 3,000, reaching a closing price of 257,500. SAMSUNG SDI CO., LTD. followed suit with a rise of 4,200, concluding the day at 182,600.
In contrast, some stocks faced declines. HANWHA AEROSPACE dropped by 21,000, settling at 771,000, while LG Innotek decreased by 2,800, ending at 143,000. Yuhan experienced a dip of 100, closing at 113,500.
Other stocks such as SLCORP and YoulchonChem reported gains of 1,800 and 1,500, respectively. Meanwhile, KumhoPetrochem increased by 4,800 to 116,000, and Mobis marked a rise of 6,500, closing at 241,500.
Additionally, the market saw several stocks with minor changes. HITEJINRO went up by 250 to 19,520, CJ LOGISTICS increased by 500 to 82,600, and DL edged up by 350 to 30,350. In contrast, COSMOCHEM decreased by 120, ending at 14,970, while Hanmi Science fell by 150, closing at 27,950.
