KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Movements as Major Companies Report Gains and Losses

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index demonstrated varied performance with significant movements in stock prices of major companies. Some companies experienced notable increases, while others faced declines.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Hanmi Science saw a decrease in its stock price, closing at 38,700, down by 150. On the other hand, Samsung Electro-Mechanics reported a substantial increase, closing at 188,000, up by 7,500. HD Korea Shipbuilding and Offshore Engineering also experienced a rise, closing at 423,000, up by 8,500.

In the energy sector, Hanwha Solutions and OCI Holdings both recorded gains, closing at 29,350 and 95,500, up by 400 each. S-Oil followed suit with an increase, closing at 60,900, up by 900.

The technology and manufacturing sectors also saw notable changes. LG Innotek and LS ELECTRIC both experienced increases, closing at 164,000 and 316,000, up by 3,200 and 7,500, respectively. NAVER, however, faced a decline, closing at 233,000, down by 500.

Other significant movements included Korea Zinc closing at 914,000, up by 21,000, and Hyundai Rotem closing at 212,500, up by 4,000. On the contrary, Lotte Chemical Corporation experienced a decrease, closing at 65,900, down by 500.

Overall, the KOSPI 200 index reflected a day of mixed outcomes with various companies reporting gains and losses as part of their daily trading activities.
