KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Movements as Major Stocks Decline

Seoul: Friday's closing prices for KOSPI 200 stocks on the Korea Stock Exchange showcased a mix of gains and losses with several major stocks experiencing declines. HANKOOK and COMPANY closed at 18,780 KRW, down by 370 KRW, while KIA CORP. saw a decrease of 1,400 KRW, closing at 97,700 KRW. SK hynix also experienced a notable drop, ending the day at 284,000 KRW, down by 9,000 KRW.

According to Yonhap News Agency, HyundaiEng and Const and SamsungF and MIns were among those that faced declines, closing at 78,800 KRW and 435,000 KRW, respectively. Meanwhile, HANALL BIOPHARMA and Kogas also saw reductions in their prices, with HANALL BIOPHARMA dropping by 550 KRW to 24,400 KRW and Kogas decreasing by 1,050 KRW to 39,850 KRW.

On the other hand, some stocks managed to gain. ORION Holdings closed at 21,600 KRW, rising by 50 KRW, and Youngpoong increased by 1,500 KRW to reach 43,200 KRW. Daewoong and SamyangFood also saw gains, with Daewoong up by 1,050 KRW to 23,450 KRW and SamyangFood rising by 15,000 KRW to 1,334,000 KRW.

The report highlights that several other stocks faced declines, including KCC, SKBP, TCC STEEL, and LotteChilsung, among others. HyundaiMtr also fell, closing at 205,000 KRW, a drop of 4,500 KRW.

Overall, the KOSPI 200 presented a varied performance with several stocks experiencing declines, although a few managed to close the day with gains.
