KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Movements as Major Stocks Shift

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a blend of upward and downward movements among major stocks, concluding the trading session with notable shifts. The index, which tracks the performance of 200 prominent companies listed on the Korea Exchange, reflected varied investor sentiment across different sectors.

According to Yonhap News Agency, GS E and C remained unchanged at 18,900. Meanwhile, GC Corp experienced a decrease, closing at 131,800, down by 1,300. Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. saw a decline, closing at 216,000, down by 4,000. KPIC also faced a downturn, ending at 123,500, a drop of 2,600. On the other hand, DN Automotive rose to 26,700, an increase of 200, and Mirae Asset Securities surged to 19,090, up by 1,050.

The data also showed SKC decreased to 94,900, down by 900, while GS Retail slipped slightly to 16,400, a drop of 50. OTOKI recorded an upward movement, closing at 386,000, up by 2,500. Hanmi Science increased to 42,550, gaining 1,000, and Samsung Electro-Mechanics rose to 161,900, up by 600.

In the energy sector, S-Oil increased slightly, ending the session at 60,600, up by 200. Meanwhile, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries marked a significant rise, closing at 408,500, up by 39,000. However, Hanwha Solutions dropped to 28,450, a decrease of 200. LG Innotek showed a positive shift, closing at 167,000, up by 400, while Youngone Holdings climbed to 126,100, an increase of 3,100.

LS Electric saw a decrease, closing at 283,500, down by 3,500. HD Hyundai Mipo slipped to 202,500, a significant drop of 13,500. Korea Zinc experienced a fall, ending at 804,000, down by 5,000. Conversely, OCI Holdings rose to 89,900, up by 2,400. Samsung Heavy Industries decreased to 21,400, a drop of 600.

Hanwha Aerospace experienced an increase, closing at 908,000, up by 1,000. Hyundai Wia also saw an upward trend, ending at 50,500, up by 500. LOTTE Chemical Corp faced a decline, closing at 64,100, down by 1,800. S-1 rose to 80,100, up by 900, while HMM decreased slightly to 21,850, down by 50.

HDC Holdings increased to 21,550, gaining 450, while Mobis remained unchanged at 302,500. Kumho Petrochemical saw a decrease, ending at 110,400, down by 600, and SKTelecom dropped to 54,900, a decrease of 500. Hyundai Elevator rose to 80,800, up by 1,000.

Coway experienced a fall, closing at 104,800, down by 1,500. Hankuk Carbon rose to 31,350, up by 450. Doosan saw a substantial rise, ending the session at 564,000, up by 7,000. DL increased to 39,200, up by 350. LG Corp. experienced a rise, closing at 75,500, up by 3,500.

KG Mobility remained steady at 3,270, while HiteJinro rose slightly to 19,260, up by 60. CJ Logistics ended the session positively at 83,800, up by 800.
