Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed a varied performance among its constituents, with several companies experiencing notable shifts in their stock prices. Key highlights included significant gains by Samsung C and T and SK Square, while others like Amorepacific and Naver faced declines.
According to Yonhap News Agency, among the top gainers, Samsung C and T surged by 9,300 to close at 197,800, marking one of the most substantial increases of the day. SK Square also saw a remarkable rise of 32,500, closing at 238,000. Other notable gains included Samsung Life, which increased by 4,000 to reach 159,100, and Hanmi Semi, climbing 5,700 to 100,600.
Conversely, several companies recorded declines in their stock prices. Amorepacific fell by 1,300 to 121,900, while Naver saw a decrease of 1,500, closing at 253,000. HDKSOE and CJ CheilJedang also faced downturns, with their prices dropping by 2,000 and 1,000, respectively.
The overall market performance was characterized by both upward and downward movements, reflecting varied investor sentiments across different sectors. Other companies such as F and F, Hanssem, and HYUNDAIGLOVIS also experienced upward trends, contributing to the mixed outcomes observed in the KOSPI 200 index.
