Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a day of varied trading with several companies showing gains while others recorded losses. Among the companies that saw an increase in their stock prices, LS, Samsung SDI Co., Ltd., and Hanwha Solutions were notable. LS rose by 5,400 to close at 179,900, Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. climbed by 2,600 to end at 172,900, and Hanwha Solutions saw a significant increase of 7,150, closing at 38,250.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other companies also registered gains. Mirae Asset Securities increased by 1,270 to reach 19,440, SKC rose by 1,500 to close at 96,300, and LG Energy Solution improved by 4,000, reaching 292,500. Additionally, Hyundai WIA and Mobis recorded positive movements with Hyundai WIA closing at 45,400 after a rise of 950, and Mobis observing a substantial gain of 13,500, ending at 288,500.
In contrast, several companies experienced declines. HD Hyundai Heavy Industries saw a decrease of 9,000, closing at 41,800, while GS Retail and YoulchonChem dropped by 550 and 150, closing at 17,080 and 31,950, respectively. LS Electric and Hanwha Aerospace also faced downturns, with LS Electric falling by 8,000 to 259,500 and Hanwha Aerospace dropping significantly by 31,000 to 905,000.
Furthermore, Kumho Petrochem and KorZinc ended the day on a lower note, with Kumho Petrochem decreasing by 2,900 to 123,100 and KorZinc reducing by 4,000 to 761,000. HD Hyundai Mipo and S-Oil also saw declines, with HD Hyundai Mipo ending at 184,100 following a drop of 3,400, and S-Oil decreasing by 500 to close at 58,500.
