Notably, Meritz Financial closed at 111,800, gaining 600 points, while BGF Retail saw a significant increase, closing at 104,100, up by 2,600 points. On the other hand, Samsung Biologics experienced a notable drop, closing at 1,015,000, down by 27,000 points.
According to Yonhap News Agency, financial groups displayed mixed results, with BNK Financial Group closing at 11,360, a decrease of 210 points, whereas DGB Financial Group saw a modest increase, ending at 8,890, up by 20 points. In the retail and consumer sector, emart experienced a decline, closing at 65,900, down 700 points, while DENTIUM rose to 67,200, gaining 900 points.
The technology sector showed varied outcomes. KRAFTON had a substantial increase, closing at 341,500, up by 10,000 points, while Netmarble decreased significantly, closing at 47,000, down by 1,650 points. SKSQUARE also reported gains, ending at 97,300, up by 3,100 points, whereas KakaoBank fell to 20,650, down by 500 points.
Automotive and industrial stocks had mixed performances. HANKOOK TIRE and TECHNOLOGY closed at 403,00, up 600 points, and HD HYUNDAI rose to 85,000, gaining 800 points. Conversely, Hanwha Vision dropped to 37,500, down by 600 points, and OCI decreased to 69,100, losing 1,700 points.
In the chemical sector, ISUSPECIALTYCHEMICAL experienced a rise, closing at 37,400, up by 250 points, while HYOSUNG TNC saw a decline, ending at 227,000, down by 3,000 points. The fluctuating performances across different sectors illustrate the dynamic nature of the KOSPI 200 index.
