Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed mixed movements as it closed with significant declines in several major stocks. Among the notable decliners, Hanwha Aerospace saw its stock price fall by 7,000, closing at 691,000. SK hynix also experienced a substantial drop, declining by 4,500 to close at 165,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other companies such as LOTTE WELLFOOD and Samsung C and T also reported declines, with their stock prices decreasing by 3,600 and 3,100, respectively. Samsung Life's stock closed at 73,600, a drop of 2,900, while NAVER and NCsoft reported declines of 2,700 and 2,500, respectively.
On the positive side, KEPCO and SK Telecom managed to close higher, with increases of 50 and 300, respectively. POSCO DX and Hanwha Ocean also saw gains, closing up by 800 and 900, respectively. PanOcean and KIWOOM posted modest gains, closing up by 10 and 100, respectively.
Meanwhile, HyundaiElev and IBK ended the trading session unchanged at 55,000 and 13,600, respectively. Despite the declines in many stocks, the KOSPI 200 index reflects the varied performances across different sectors.
