Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a mixed performance with notable movements among various stocks. While several companies experienced declines in their stock prices, others saw gains. Among the significant risers, HYOSUNG TNC went up by 9,000 to close at 255,000, while APR increased by 8,300, finishing at 118,200.
According to Yonhap News Agency, kakaopay witnessed an increase of 3,850 to end at 35,950, and HD HYUNDAI ELECTRIC climbed by 3,500 to reach 392,500. ORION and KIA CORP. also posted gains, with ORION going up by 500 to 111,700, and KIA CORP. increasing by 100, closing at 88,200.
Conversely, several companies saw declines. SAMSUNG BIOLOGICS fell by 17,000 to settle at 1,026,000, while KRAFTON decreased by 1,500 to 381,000. Other notable declines included Netmarble, which dropped by 1,100 to 51,300, and HYBE, which fell by 3,000 to 286,500.
The KOSPI 200's performance reflects varied investor sentiments, with gains in some sectors being offset by losses in others. The overall market activity was influenced by individual company performances and broader economic factors.
