Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced varied movements today, with several companies witnessing significant shifts in their stock prices. Notably, HYBE and SamsungElecMech recorded substantial gains, while others like LG Energy Solution and SK ie technology saw declines.
According to Yonhap News Agency, HYBE's stock price surged by 16,500, closing at 341,000. SamsungElecMech also saw a notable increase, climbing 20,000 to reach 245,000. These gains contributed positively to the overall performance of the index amidst the fluctuations.
Conversely, LG Energy Solution experienced a decline of 13,500, closing at 473,000, while SK ie technology's stock decreased by 1,250, ending at 30,700. Other companies such as Poongsan and HDHMS also recorded downturns, with Poongsan dropping 9,800 to settle at 110,000 and HDHMS decreasing by 4,000 to 240,500.
In terms of overall trends, the technology and entertainment sectors showed some positive momentum, with companies like Doosan Robotics and MiwonComcl also recording gains. Doosan Robotics rose by 6,900 to close at 78,000, and MiwonComcl increased by 2,200 to reach 151,200.
