Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed mixed movements, with several companies experiencing gains, while others saw declines. Notably, SK hynix and HD Hyundai Electric led the upward trend with substantial increases in their stock prices.
According to Yonhap News Agency, SK hynix's stock price rose by 8,000, closing at 292,000, marking a significant gain among the listed companies. HD Hyundai Electric also showed a notable increase, with its stock price surging by 19,500 to reach 507,000. Additionally, Doosan's stock price climbed 5,000 to settle at 656,000, while KRAFTON and APR each saw an increase of 5,500, closing at 363,000 and 154,200, respectively.
Meanwhile, the market witnessed declines in several companies. Samsung Biologics experienced a drop of 4,000, closing at 992,000. KIA Corp. saw a decrease of 800, ending the trading day at 96,900. Other companies such as HyundaiEng and Const, Doosan Bobcat, and Hanwha Systems also faced downward trends, with their stock prices falling by 300, 600, and 1,300, respectively.
Among other notable movements, Netmarble's stock price increased by 2,900, reaching 62,000, and HYBE saw a rise of 3,500, closing at 309,000. Conversely, kakaopay experienced a significant decline, with a drop of 7,500, ending at 76,700.
The KOSPI 200 index reflected varied performances across different sectors, highlighting the dynamic nature of the stock market and the diverse factors influencing individual company performances.
