Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a mixture of gains and losses as trading closed, with several companies experiencing notable changes in their stock prices. LS Electric and KorZinc emerged as significant gainers, while others such as Hanwha Solutions and OCI Holdings recorded declines.
According to Yonhap News Agency, LS Electric's stock surged by 8,900, closing at 179,500. KorZinc also reported a significant increase, with a rise of 12,000 to close at 694,000. Conversely, Hanwha Solutions saw a decrease in its stock price, dropping by 50 to 20,100, and OCI Holdings experienced a decline of 300, closing at 60,900.
Other companies showed varying levels of performance. KEPCO's stock climbed by 600, reaching 24,150, while Samsung Securities rose by 800 to close at 44,700. HD Hyundai Mipo and Hanchem also recorded positive movements, increasing by 1,200 and 2,300, respectively.
Meanwhile, PanOcean and LG Uplus faced declines. PanOcean's stock decreased by 15 to 3,320, and LG Uplus fell by 10, closing at 10,770. In contrast, companies like Samsung C and T and KT and G saw positive momentum, with their stocks rising by 1,700 and 1,200, respectively.
Overall, the trading session highlighted the diverse performance within the KOSPI 200, with some companies achieving substantial gains while others faced downturns.
