Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a varied performance with both gains and losses among its listed companies. Noteworthy movements included LotteChilsung, which saw its price increase by 2,900 to close at 124,600, and MiwonComcl, which closed at 146,200 after a rise of 1,200.
According to Yonhap News Agency, several companies experienced declines in their closing prices. Notably, LGCHEM saw a decrease of 21,500, closing at 367,000, while KCC closed at 400,500 after a decrease of 14,500. Other significant losses were recorded by POSCO Holdings and L and F, which fell by 11,000 and 7,900, closing at 310,500 and 119,900, respectively.
On the other hand, some companies recorded increases in their stock prices. DN AUTOMOTIVE rose by 100 to close at 23,150, and SKBP saw a slight increase of 200, ending at 126,500. Additionally, Samsung SDS and Celltrion both witnessed gains of 600, closing at 169,000 and 187,400, respectively.
However, several companies ended the trading session with declines. HyundaiMtr and KEPCO E and C experienced decreases of 2,500 and 2,600, closing at 259,500 and 88,900, respectively. SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS also witnessed a decline of 5,800, ending at 94,800.
Among other notable changes, Hyundai ROTEM saw a significant drop of 7,200, closing at 182,800, and TCC STEEL fell by 540 to close at 15,080. Meanwhile, Hyundai DEPT ST increased by 2,000, ending the session at 95,600.
