Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index reflected a day of mixed performances with significant gains observed in several companies. Among the notable risers, Doosan's stock price surged by 17,000 to close at 308,500, marking one of the most substantial increases on the index. Hanwha also experienced a significant rise, with its shares climbing by 2,200 to reach 48,800. Meanwhile, SK's stock saw an increase of 2,000, closing at 131,700, and CJ's shares rose by 4,000 to end at 125,200.
According to Yonhap News Agency, several other companies recorded upward movements as well. KUMHOTIRE's shares rose by 105 to close at 4,730, and POSCO DX saw an increase of 600, ending the day at 25,450. In addition, LG Display's stock improved by 70, reaching 8,480, and Kangwonland's shares increased by 80 to close at 15,990. On the other hand, Hanwha Ocean experienced a notable rise of 9,000, ending at 89,900.
However, the index also saw several companies facing declines. Kakao's stock dropped by 1,500, closing at 37,950, while NCsoft's shares fell by 800 to 146,900. Notably, SAMSUNG C and T saw a decrease of 1,100, ending at 117,000, and HyundaiEng and Const's stock fell by 650 to 39,350. Additionally, LOTTE SHOPPING experienced a decline of 400, closing at 67,000.
Overall, the KOSPI 200 index showcased a blend of upward and downward movements, with some companies achieving notable gains despite the mixed performance across the board.
