Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed mixed results as several key companies experienced fluctuations in their closing prices. While some companies saw significant gains, others faced declines, reflecting a varied trading session.
According to Yonhap News Agency, notable gains were recorded by HDKSOE, which rose by 22,500 to close at 369,500, and HD Hyundai Mipo, which climbed by 27,500 to reach 216,000. LS Electric also saw an increase, closing at 287,000, up by 1,000. Other gainers included SamsungElecMech, which increased by 1,800 to finish at 161,300, and Korea Zinc, up by 17,000 to end at 809,000.
Meanwhile, losses were observed in several firms. Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. fell by 1,000 to close at 220,000, and SKC declined by 1,400, ending the session at 95,800. OCI Holdings and HYBE also experienced downturns, closing at 87,500 and 295,500, respectively, with declines of 1,500 and 2,000.
Additional movements included Kumho Petrochem dropping by 800 to 111,000, and Lotte Chemical Corp decreasing by 2,300 to close at 65,900. Despite these declines, other companies such as Mobis and Hanwha Aerospace witnessed increases, ending at 302,500 and 907,000, respectively, with gains of 3,000 and 7,000.
The trading session highlighted the varied performance of companies across different sectors, with some experiencing growth while others faced challenges.
