KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Movements with Notable Gains in SK and Doosan


Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index observed a variety of movements in its closing prices, with significant gains reported in several major companies. LG Innotek and SKTelecom remained unchanged at 188,500 and 54,400, respectively, while LOTTE CHEMICAL Corp experienced a decline of 700, closing at 67,200.



According to Yonhap News Agency, SK saw a substantial increase of 13,000, closing at 222,000. Hyundai WIA also rose by 1,400 to settle at 49,600. Another notable performer was SamsungSecu, which increased by 1,200, bringing its closing price to 72,400. On the other hand, KEPCO faced a slight dip of 50, closing at 35,500, and HankukCarbon decreased by 750, ending at 33,450.



Several companies experienced gains, including Hanon Systems, which increased by 90 to 3,145, and Kogas, up by 250 to close at 38,800. HyundaiMtr reported a rise of 4,500, closing at 220,000, while Doosan Robotics increased by 3,100 to reach 68,000. In contrast, SeAH Steel Holdings faced a decline of 3,400, closing at 152,400.



Samsung SDS and Yuhan had moderate gains of 100 each, ending at 166,700 and 119,900, respectively. AMOREPACIFIC Holdings observed a slight decline of 100, closing at 26,500. Despite these fluctuations, companies like Doosan and KIWOOM marked significant gains, with Doosan increasing by 33,000 to close at 595,000, and KIWOOM rising by 9,500 to 253,000.
