Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a range of movements as several companies marked gains while others faced declines. Notably, POSCO Holdings and Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. registered significant gains, closing at 321,000 and 179,400 respectively. POSCO Holdings surged by 6,500, while Samsung SDI increased by 9,100.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other companies also showed positive trends, including DB Insurance, which rose by 2,100 to close at 138,800, and Samsung Electronics, which gained 1,600, settling at 62,600. LG Energy Solution also experienced an increase, closing at 321,500, up by 3,500.
In contrast, some companies faced declines. HD Hyundai Heavy Industries saw a decrease of 12,500, closing at 388,000. LS Electric and HD KSOE also experienced downturns, dropping by 12,500 and 8,000, respectively. Meanwhile, Samsung Heavy Industries and HD Hyundai Mipo reported declines, with the former falling by 340 to 17,540 and the latter decreasing by 6,500 to 179,100.
Other notable movements included Hanwha Solutions, which rose by 700 to 35,400, and Korea Zinc, which increased by 5,000, closing at 854,000. On the downside, LS and Youngone Holdings registered losses, with LS decreasing by 6,100 to 182,400 and Youngone Holdings dropping by 1,700 to 138,000.
Overall, the KOSPI 200 exhibited varied performances as investors navigated through the ups and downs of the market.
