KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Movements with SamsungSecu and Lotte Shopping Leading Gains

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed fluctuating performances with notable gains and losses among its listed companies. SamsungSecu and Lotte Shopping emerged as the top gainers, closing at 63,500 and 83,100 respectively, while seeing increases of 2,000 and 5,000. In contrast, Korea Aerospace suffered a significant decline, dropping by 4,500 to close at 84,700.

According to Yonhap News Agency, SKTelecom also experienced an uptick, closing at 53,100, marking an increase of 500. Among other gainers, SAMSUNG SDS rose by 1,800 to reach 136,400, and SK saw a substantial increase of 8,700, closing at 195,700.

On the downside, Hyundai Elevator fell by 1,100 to 79,500, and SAMSUNG C and T decreased by 1,800, closing at 167,100. COWAY and POSCO DX also experienced declines, ending at 91,700 and 22,150 respectively.

The technology sector showed positive trends with LG Display inching up by 250 to finish at 8,750 and NAVER gaining 7,300 to close at 198,500. Kakao also reported a rise, closing at 51,400 with an increase of 7,100.

Financial services saw mixed results as IBK rose by 720 to 16,770, while SamsungE and A fell by 350 to 21,950. Meanwhile, SAMSUNG CARD increased by 3,200, concluding at 47,500.

In the industrial and consumer goods sectors, KT and G advanced by 1,100 to 123,300, and LG Uplus climbed by 140 to 12,990. On the contrary, CJ saw a downturn, dropping by 1,500 to 151,700.

The KOSPI 200 index's mixed performance reflects varying investor sentiments across different sectors, with notable advances in technology and consumer services.
