Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced varied movements as trading concluded, with significant fluctuations observed in several key stocks. TaihanElecWire saw an increase, closing at 16,050, up by 50. Hyundai M and F INS, however, decreased by 100, ending at 27,100. Daesang rose to 22,200, marking an increase of 200.
According to Yonhap News Agency, several technology and manufacturing stocks showed notable changes. NAVER and Kakao experienced declines, with NAVER dropping by 3,000 to 218,000 and Kakao decreasing by 900 to 64,100. Among the gainers, SamsungF and MIns rose significantly by 3,500 to close at 440,000, while NCsoft also saw an increase, ending at 202,500, up by 2,000.
In the biopharmaceutical and energy sectors, HANALL BIOPHARMA fell by 150 to 30,350, and Kogas experienced a slight decline of 50, closing at 39,650. Hanwha Ocean, however, surged by 3,100, reaching 110,900. The chemical sector saw COSMAX climb by 2,000 to 219,000, while POSCO INTERNATIONAL dropped significantly by 2,400 to 50,000.
The consumer goods and financial sectors also saw mixed results. CJ CheilJedang advanced by 1,500 to 230,500, whereas SamyangFood increased by 11,000 to reach 1,512,000. ShinhanGroup saw a rise of 700, closing at 65,700, while HYUNDAIGLOVIS recorded a substantial increase of 3,800, ending at 171,600.
Overall, the closing prices reflect a day of mixed performances across various sectors in the KOSPI 200 index, highlighting the dynamic nature of the market.
