Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a day of mixed trading activities with several companies witnessing notable price changes. Among the gainers, Hyundai Motor saw a significant increase, closing at 208,500, up by 2,000. Other notable gainers included POSCO Holdings, which rose by 6,000 to close at 264,000, and Samsung SDI Co., Ltd., which increased by 5,500, ending the day at 239,500.
According to Yonhap News Agency, while some companies posted impressive gains, others faced declines. SeAH Steel Holdings experienced a substantial drop, falling by 11,000 to close at 212,000. Samyang Food also saw a decrease of 6,000, closing at 719,000. Nongshim's stock decreased by 5,000, ending at 336,000.
Additional gains were noted for LG Corp. and POSCO Future M, which increased by 1,200 and 5,000, closing at 74,000 and 145,400 respectively. Companies like AmoreG and SK Networks also recorded upward movements, with increases of 200 and 80 respectively.
On the downside, Yuhan and DB Insurance recorded decreases of 2,500 and 1,700, closing at 129,400 and 91,600. Other companies such as Shinsegae and GC Corp also saw reductions, closing at 132,600 and 144,500, down by 900 and 1,100 respectively.
Overall, the KOSPI 200 displayed a variety of movements, reflecting a dynamic trading session with both gains and losses across different sectors.
