Seoul: Monday's closing prices for KOSPI 200 stocks on the main Korea Stock Exchange presented a mixed picture as several stocks recorded significant gains, while others experienced declines. Notably, Hanwha Aerospace made remarkable strides, closing at 577,000 KRW, marking an increase of 44,000 KRW.
According to Yonhap News Agency, LGCHEM saw an upswing, closing at 237,500 KRW, which is an increase of 10,000 KRW. Other gainers included SK Innovation, which climbed by 6,500 KRW to 128,500 KRW, and SamyangFood, which rose by 14,000 KRW to 886,000 KRW. Meanwhile, POONGSAN experienced an increase, closing at 59,400 KRW, up by 3,600 KRW.
On the downside, KEPCO E and C dropped to 69,400 KRW, down by 2,600 KRW. LIG Nex1 also faced a decline, closing at 280,500 KRW, down by 3,500 KRW. HYUNDAIGLOVIS recorded a decrease as well, falling by 4,500 KRW to 126,100 KRW. Additionally, CJ CheilJedang saw its price slip by 1,500 KRW to 246,000 KRW.
The financial sector showed mixed results with ShinhanGroup making a slight gain of 100 KRW, bringing its closing price to 48,450 KRW, while HanaFinancialGR experienced a drop of 500 KRW, closing at 60,300 KRW. The performance of other stocks such as KIH and KBFinancialGroup showed positive movement, increasing by 900 KRW and 1,300 KRW to close at 81,000 KRW each.
