KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Movements with Strong Gains in Technology and Financial Sectors

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index recorded a day of mixed results as several companies experienced significant gains while others faced declines. The trading session saw notable performances in technology and financial stocks, contributing to the overall market dynamics.

According to Yonhap News Agency, SD Biosensor closed at 10,480, marking an increase of 170 points. Meritz Financial experienced a rise of 400 points, closing at 116,200. The BNK Financial Group also saw an upward movement, gaining 280 points to close at 13,160, while iM Financial Group closed at 13,300 with an increase of 170 points.

In the retail and technology sectors, emart experienced a decline of 400 points, closing at 93,700. However, DENTIUM saw a gain of 700 points, closing at 64,500. HANKOOK TIRE and TECHNOLOGY closed at 43,100, marking an impressive rise of 1,650 points. KOLMAR KOREA increased by 400 points to close at 99,900, and HANJINKAL saw a significant rise of 3,300 points, closing at 120,300.

The pharmaceutical sector also witnessed positive movements with CHONGKUNDANG closing at 87,400, up by 600 points, while DoubleUGames experienced a decrease of 200 points, closing at 57,800. Meanwhile, HL MANDO had a strong performance, closing at 34,900 with an increase of 1,000 points.

In the biotechnology space, SAMSUNG BIOLOGICS closed at 1,044,000, recording a substantial gain of 35,000 points. However, Doosan Bobcat saw a fall of 500 points, closing at 56,300. Netmarble recorded an increase of 800 points, closing at 62,100, while KRAFTON gained 7,000 points, closing at 365,500.

The industrial sector saw mixed performances, with HD HYUNDAI increasing by 1,500 points to close at 126,900, while its subsidiary HD HYUNDAI ELECTRIC faced a downturn, closing at 454,500, down by 33,000 points. MIWON SC decreased by 400 points, closing at 151,000, whereas ORION remained stable at 118,500.

HANWHA SYSTEMS experienced a decrease of 1,100 points, closing at 54,700. In contrast, APR recorded a slight increase of 100 points, closing at 146,700. BGF Retail saw a significant decline, closing at 126,500, down by 3,300 points. SKCHEM recorded an increase of 4,400 points, closing at 76,700.

HYOSUNG TNC and HS HYOSUNG ADVANCED both saw positive movements, closing at 274,500 and 231,000, with gains of 500 and 1,500 points respectively. HANILCMT declined by 120 points, closing at 18,910. SKBS closed at 49,750, marking an increase of 1,300 points, while WooriFinancialGroup gained 450 points to close at 23,050.

KakaoBank recorded an increase of 200 points, closing at 29,800, whereas HYBE faced a decline of 14,500 points, closing at 290,500. SK ie technology saw a gain of 800 points, closing at 28,700. DL E and C experienced a decrease of 1,100 points, closing at 51,300.

kakaopay faced a decline of 400 points, closing at 77,000, and SKSQUARE saw a decrease of 4,400 points, closing at 171,800. HDHMS experienced a decline of 3,000 points, closing at 199,000. Doosan Robotics recorded a decrease of 100 points, closing at 61,600.

OCI closed at 58,400, marking an increase of 1,100 points, while ISUSPECIALTYCHEMICAL saw a rise of 2,100 points, closing at 45,000. Hanwha Vision faced a decrease of 700 points, closing at 51,900.
